Voodoo takes legal and finance from chat to workflows with Claude Cowork
Voodoo is a Paris-based publisher of mobile games and apps founded in 2013. Its titles, among them Paper.io, Mob Control and Helix Jump, have passed 8 billion downloads. The group acquired the social network BeReal in 2024 and employs around 800 people across 14 countries.
Its finance and legal functions, 35 people in five teams, report to CFO Matthieu Flichy. In 2026 they worked with ClaudIn, a French consultancy that deploys Claude in finance and legal teams, to move from individual chat use to skills, connectors and the groundwork for a finance data foundation, all built on their own files.

What Voodoo did with Claude
- 01 Mapped 51 use cases across five legal and finance teams in a one-day diagnostic, close to 300 hours of weekly work identified.
- 02 Trained 26 lawyers, accountants and controllers on Claude Cowork in three half-day sessions, then built skills and artifacts in May workshops and kept a hotline open for every team.
- 03 Moved freelance contract requests, from creation to amendments and terminations, into a Claude Cowork skill that works across Slack, Gmail, Google Drive and its contract management tool through MCP, with human validation before anything is sent, and sanctions screening and signature kept manual.
- 04 Gave every team direct access to the country-by-country rules that apply to its social apps, and worked on translating the legal texts on its sites.
- 05 Connected Claude to Pigment for its FP&A team through MCP, then inventoried 38 finance data sources and mapped three flows end to end, toward a finance data foundation intended to be queryable from Claude Cowork.
The challenge
When Matthieu Flichy booked his first call with ClaudIn in March 2026, his note read: "Looking to train key team members to Claude Cowork / for Excel to automate and optimise the finance functions (accounting, FP&A)."
Voodoo had already rolled out Claude Enterprise across the company, every function included. Licenses were not the issue. Turning them into workflows was, and three things stood in the way in finance and legal.
An M&A lawyer, a regulatory counsel, an accountant and a controller share neither tasks, nor data, nor the same relationship to a tool. One training run identically for everyone would not have carried over into real work.
Regulatory obligations were growing, and the CFO's brief was to absorb that growth without adding to the team.
Voodoo has engineers and developers in-house, but legal and finance work on data that cannot be opened to them. The technical support these teams needed could not be built internally.
The solution
A one-day diagnostic
In early April, Voodoo's five teams each sat down with ClaudIn at Voodoo's offices: accounting and consolidation, FP&A, commercial law, corporate law and regulatory. Each use case was documented with its owner, with input, output, frequency and hours per week, then validated by that owner.
One day was enough to size the opportunity: 51 use cases and close to 300 hours of weekly work. That list, owned and validated by the teams, set the content of the training sessions that followed.
Claude runs the task on its own once the output is validated
Claude works alongside the person
"ClaudIn’s intervention really went down well, ClaudIn struck the right tone and brought the right mix of legal and AI expertise, that brings a lot of credibility."

One half-day per trade, on their own files
Legal, then accounting, then FP&A, over two weeks in April. Each session built on Claude Cowork's skills, scheduled tasks and artifacts, applied to that team's own use cases.
One referent, coached until it runs
In May, the commercial law team's referent worked with ClaudIn in four workshop sessions: one of her own use cases, built together until it runs on this week's real files. What stays human is decided up front. Alongside, ClaudIn kept a hotline open for every team, with ad hoc sessions to fix a bug, discuss a use case or a project, or go through what is new in Claude.
"We take one of the lawyer's own cases and build the skill with her until it runs on the current week's files. What we transfer is technical. How we transfer it is coaching."
Claire des Beauvais · co-founder, ClaudIn
Legal: from a written procedure to a Claude Cowork skill
Voodoo's commercial law team handles three kinds of freelancer requests: contract creation, amendments and terminations. The flow ran across five tools, with a manual handoff at every step, and took about half a week of one team member plus seven hours a week of the head of commercial law.
Starting from the team's own process, the head of commercial law and ClaudIn built a Claude Cowork skill that triages requests, rebuilds each freelancer's contract history, drafts amendments and termination agreements, and keeps the tracker current. Compliance checks and signature stay with the lawyer.
Voodoo kept Tomorro as its contract tool; ClaudIn connected it through MCP so the contract base can be queried from Claude. The skill started on contract creation and was extended to amendments and terminations after several weeks of use on real cases, in production since June 2026.

Regulatory
A small regulatory and privacy team answers questions from every part of the company. In a May workshop, its spreadsheet of rules applying to Voodoo's social apps, country by country, became an interactive tool, live the same afternoon, that every team can consult. Development, marketing and communications teams can now check for themselves what is allowed in each country where Voodoo operates. The team also worked with ClaudIn on translating the legal texts displayed on its sites.
Finance: from training to data
Accounting
In the accounting session, one accountant built his first automated flow on his own, and the team worked live on one of its monthly allocation tasks for the ERP.
FP&A
For the eight-person FP&A team, ClaudIn configured the connection between Claude and Pigment, its planning tool, through Pigment's MCP connector, one example of the tool integrations these teams need. The session produced the team's first shared skills, an artifact and several scheduled tasks. It also showed where the ceiling was: FP&A cases depend on how ready the underlying data is.
"Whatever happens, we will need a finance data foundation that AI can consume efficiently."
Matthieu Flichy · CFO, Voodoo · July 2026
The data foundation
Over three days in September, Voodoo's finance team worked on site with ClaudIn's data engineer to document, in one place, where its finance figures come from: 38 data sources inventoried, three flows chosen by the team mapped end to end, and a 40-term glossary the team now owns.
The pace comes from the way ClaudIn works: its consultants use internal AI tools that map a complex data system in minutes and bring out its bottlenecks, sources of error, redundant transformations and risky dependencies on single people. Mapping work that usually takes several weeks is done in a few days, and the strategic decisions that follow are as documented and as justified as they can be.
"This is our chance to have definitions written down in black and white, with their calculation method."
Louis Le Montagner · Finance Strategic Project Manager, Voodoo
Target architecture
The mapping feeds the advisory part of the work. From the needs and the difficulties the data analysis brought out, ClaudIn advises on and designs the target architecture and the roadmap: which data to structure first, and how to make it queryable from Claude Cowork. The advice covers the technical architecture, the change management that goes with it, and the HR side: which technical profiles to bring into the business teams themselves.
The outcome, five months on
- 51 use cases documented and classified across five teams, with close to 300 hours of weekly work identified as the starting point.
- 26 people trained in three half-day sessions, followed by four workshop sessions with the commercial law team and a hotline kept open for every team.
- The freelance contracting flow runs through one Claude Cowork skill, five tools down to one, with compliance checks and signature kept with the lawyer. About 24 hours a week freed, by the team's own estimate.
- 100% of the legal team uses Claude Cowork daily, according to the CFO.
- Country-by-country rules for Voodoo's social apps are readable by every team.
- FP&A works with Pigment through Claude, with its first shared skills and scheduled tasks; 38 finance data sources are inventoried and three flows documented in one place.

What's next
The finance data roadmap comes first: target architecture, then the roadmap decides which flow to structure first, with the aim of making it queryable from Claude Cowork. On the legal side, the freelance skill is due to be extended to legal entities, and the other use cases from the April diagnostic are waiting for their turn.
"The first part of the mission was about getting people started. Today everyone uses Cowork, I think every day. ClaudIn clearly had something to do with that."
